The morning alarm buzzes early now that I have high schoolers that greet the school bus in the dark for the first-morning school bell. The buzz starts early and continues throughout the day during the week. If you are like me, there are too many details and schedules to consider each day. The good news is that time management skills can be learned and can really make an impact on daily results! Chair massage helps with productivity in and outside of the office!
Here are some ideas to help with your time management and efficiency.
Plan your day each day
Take the first ten minutes of the daily workday to prioritize your day. This is important to list the order of how you will start and end each day. Some office workers color code, others prefer to list. Whatever your method, the list must contain your “to do” items in order of priority.
Delegate, delegate, delegate!
Some workers are in touch with their greatest strengths and stick to those that can bring the most results. Have you taken the time to do this later? As jobs and priorities change, so do our strengths with given projects, clients, etc. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Most importantly, what can you allow others to help to manage skills that are not your strongest?
Rush the unimportant
This is a curious concept as many workers take more time to complete the unimportant which just allows for mental clutter throughout the day. If it is a simple bill to be paid, a follow-up call or text promptly completes the task and moves on to the more important business of the day.
Compress the time for completion of assigned projects
Allowing for an open-ended due date allows workers to drag through a project vs. one that has a set deadline. I remember in college when projects and papers were due and the relief that followed when completed. I try to manage this with long-term projects in order to clear the desk and my mind each week.
Schedule your quitting time each day when in the office
What is your routine for leaving the office? Do you have a set time to pack up and head out? This may be another key to success as it ends the day and again sorts the priorities over and over again each new day and week. One example of this is the organization and time management skills that are used the week prior to going out on vacation. Typically, most office workers busily prepare for the week off by completing most if not all of their outstanding projects and items before turning off the office light for their scheduled vacation.
Schedule your wellness programs in the office NOW
Mobile chair massage, chair yoga, and other wellness programs enhance productivity throughout the day and week. The benefits of mobile chair massage are many including increased productivity, improved mental acuity, decreased stress, decreased absenteeism due to stress-related illnesses along with fewer aches and pains from prolonged sitting.
A return client emailed us this testimonial within the past week.
“Everyone at Columbia, MD office raved about the chair massages! Their only complaint was that the massages couldn’t last all day. Thank you so much for all of your help! Chase Brexton will definitely be using Massage Kneads for future events.”
